  "Algie" Crapsey, the fifth of eight children born to the Rev. Algernon Sidney Crapsey and his wife Adelaide Trowbridge Crapsey, was Emily Sibley Watson's godson. In a letter to her daughter dated 12/27/1892, Elizabeth Sibley writes: "It seems that Algie was rather sad and quiet all day on Christmas, his mother asked him at night what was the matter with him? He answered you know Mama I have never had a Christmas without my Godmother before, and was thinking of her."
