    Husband of Emily Sibley Watson’s niece, Elisabeth Storer Atkinson Smith, he is best known as the author of two volumes of highly praised short stories, The Monk and the Dancer (1900) and The Turquoise Cup (1903). Their house on 6 Sibley Place would later become the home of James Sibley Watson, Jr. and his wife Hildegarde Lasell Watson.

    Arthur married Elizabeth Storer Atkinson 19 Jun 1879. Elizabeth (daughter of Hobart Ford Atkinson and Zilpha Louise Atkinson) was born 2 Jun 1857; died 1945. [Group Sheet]
