In a letter to her daughter dated 1/10/1893, Elizabeth Sibley sends news of their neighors, Rev. & Mrs. William Rivers Taylor: "Mrs. Taylor called today they are well, baby Ann is growing finely, Dr. Ely frightened them terribly one day last week by telling them Louise had scarlet fever, she had not been well through the night, they called him in the morning at night she was much better, but Mrs. Taylor had been at work all day, getting a room ready for her in the third story and looking for a nurse, they were very thankful it did not prove to be as the Dr. imagined, she sends a great deal of love and misses you very much."
