James Sibley Watson first travelled to Yellowstone National Park in 1885, just two years after railway access made the park easy to get to. He returned in 1886, 1887, and 1889.  Three albums from the collection of George Eastman Museum, as well as letters to Emily Sibley Averell, document these trips.
