From Ogden, Utah our travellers could have taken the Rio Grande Western Railway to Green River, Wyoming, dropping down to Grand Junction, Colorado, near to Glenwood Springs, and thence to Colorado Springs.

They visited Manitou Springs, Garden of the Gods, Cheyenne Mountain, and Cheyenne Canyon, all near Colorado Springs. Now in its third life, the Antlers hotel in Colorado Springs is still today a destination for travelers.
