A month and half has passed since Elizabeth Sibley's last letter to her daughter. We surmise that the two parties rendezvoused in Paris, where J. G. Averell rejoined his mother.  On July 23rd, 1891, Elizabeth Sibley sends a letter to Emily, who is on board a ship, heading back to New York from Southampton.
