Simultaneous Journeys

S.S. Columbia, April 1891

By May 1891 both the Watsons and the Sibley/Averell parties are in Europe, having travelled together across the Atlantic on the S.S. Columbia.  Emily & James Sibley Watson are in Spain, with letters sent to them in Seville, and photos sent by them in Madrid.  Elizabeth Sibley and her grandson J.G. Averell both write Emily from Berlin, telling her about the operas they've seen and galleries they've visited.
