Ontario's Great Jump

In this letter, J.G. writes his mother in New York about a great jump by Ontario, a horse owned by S.S. Howland. J.G. also mentions that he and Sibley Coslett Smith had a "trick show". The next month the two performed a "legerdemain entertainment" for the benefit of the Rochester Homeopathic Hospital.
