James Sibley Watson describes looking for buffalo in the North of Yellowstone Park, recognizing that it was a "perfectly useless task" since buffalo were "almost entirely extinct," "but as this [is] probably the last chance that I will ever have to hunt
buffalo I am bound to take it."
