Rochester plays polo in Canada

In September 1903, the Rochester polo team participated in exhibition and tournament play in Toronto.  They won the polo cup, defeating the Montreal team 12-2; J.G. made 6 goals.  The Rochester team's play was excellent throughout the tournament.  One newspaper article noted that Rochester had defeated Calgary, which had been undefeated for twenty-five years.

The Rochester team invited Calgary to Rochester for a match at the Country Club in a free exhibition designed to promote public interest in the sport. Over 1500 spectators attended the two games.
