News from Rochester 2
Elizabeth Sibley writes on October 7, 1890, acknowledging Emily's letter of September 30th with the tantalizing comment: "I should be nearly overjoyed with the news it contained if I dare be so, but for fear the time for rejoicing may not have come I will hold my breath and wait..."
Elizabeth announces several weddings, and notes the visit of Jennie Leland Lasell to Belle Watson, James Sibley Watson's sister. Jennie Lasell was Hildegarde Lasell Watson's aunt, helping us to make a Rochester connection between the Lasell family and the Watsons, since Hildegarde Lasell many years later would marry "Sibley" Watson, son of Emily and James Sibley Watson, Sr.
