Letter from Elizabeth Maria Tinker Sibley to Emily Sibley Watson, October 10, 1890<br />

Elizabeth Sibley's letter of October 10, 1890 acknowledges Emily's letter of October 2nd. Elizabeth shares the news of the tragic death of Dr. Charles Lyman Hubbell, just before the marriage of his daughter, and sends a hint of the state of Edward Duty Tyler's health when she writes: "Louise [Edward Duty Tyler's wife] had not been home, she was still at her fathers, I think they feel that Edw. is much better, though not able to walk any distance."

Elizabeth also thanks Emily for pictures of Santa Barbara's Old Mission, some of which are in the collection of George Eastman Museum.
