Golfing Fall 1897

On October 2nd, 1897, J.G. was in Rochester participating in the Country Club's annual handicap competition. In early November, he participated in Harvard's handicap games, then played in the preliminary and first rounds of the Fall championship later that month. On November 27, the Harvard Crimson named J.G. as among "the most promising candidates" for the Spring team.
