Santayana's Course
Writing to his mother, who is en route to a trip to the Bahamas on the Lasca, J.G. writes "I have now added a course on the philosophy of art, aesthetics etc. I’m afraid it is going to be rather deep for me, but the lecturer is good, and I will enjoy all that I understand." J.G. is probably referring to George Santayana's legendary course on The Philosophy of Art with a Survey of Aesthetic Theories, first taught in 1898-1899.
